WILD ABOUT WILDINGS PAMPHLET – GRAB SOME NOW

Date: 6th October 2026

As part of our participation in the Federated Farmers National Field Days tent in Hamilton in June this year we produced a little fold up pamphlet designed to sit snugly in your back pocket or even go in your wallet…

It summarises how wildings move around our landscapes, why they are a biosecurity challenge and the threats they pose to our natural, heritage and productive environments. It ends with a simple message about how people can help. If you would like some for your work, please contact Jo our coordinator jo@wildingpinenetwork.org.nz.

Watch this space – the next production from WPN will be a series of factsheets centered around a restoration guide and how to stop trees from coming back. We do all this mahi to restore land back to its natural state or return it to farming. This will be a simple guide using examples from around Aotearoa.

We want to landscapes like the one below in the Kaweka Ranges in the North Island…

To become more like they should be filled with a diverse variety of native species that are both climate resilient and support all manner of native animals from insects to reptiles and birds.
