Wilding conifers: A great kick start – where to from here?

A great article recently in the Otago Daily Times by Richard Bowman. Cheers Richard.

Richard’s article gives credit to politicians, Federated Farmers and the Wilding Pine Network and community groups for their lobbying efforts over the last 2 years that assisted with the $79 million funding increase.

He also discusses a lesser-known benefit of the funding which is as significant as the money itself – the commitment to develop and implement a National Pest Management Plan over the next 2 years. This would provide funding for the national programme for dive years and beyond.
