                       2023 Wilding Pine Network Conference

Our 2023 conference will be held from 18-20 October in Queenstown at the Memorial Hall.

Because we are in the Whakatipu Basin where a lot of wilding work is visible from people’s living rooms the theme will be around people and wildings – there is a lot we can learn and share from our collective experiences. Please consider locking these dates in your calendar now and pass the message on to others you think may be interested in attending.

I would like to acknowledge Queenstown Lakes District Council, Whakatipu Wilding Conifer Control Group, Central Otago Wilding Control Group, Arrowtown Choppers and the Mid Dome Trust for their support to hold the conference in Queenstown.

Please consider booking accommodation and travel soon. Queenstown is a busy place. Jetstar and Air NZ both fly into Queenstown. There are a number of motels and hotels within walking distance of the venue. I find www.booking.com best. Check out the map for each place to see proximity to Memorial Street which is about a 10 minute walk from the city centre.

We are in the initial planning stages and will provide more information after our May management committee meeting

If you have ideas about talks or presenters or would like to give one yourself, and/or are interested in being a sponsor please let me know.                                                                jo@wildingpinenetwork.org.nz.
