Our registration rates reflect the rising costs of delivering the conference and the many components that go into making it a valuable experience for everyone. In 2026, we’re offering two rates: one for agencies and businesses, and a discounted rate for individual attendees. Our goal is simply to cover our costs while keeping registration as affordable and accessible as possible. Rates have been calculated based on previous conferences, where around 70% of attendees were agencies and businesses and 30% were individuals. We are reliant on everyone’s honesty so please choose the registration rate that applies to you.
We’re grateful for the continued support of our community, and we’re pleased that some funding from our sponsors is also available to help groups and individuals who may otherwise find it difficult to attend. Please contact Jo if you need help jo@wildingpinenetwork.org.nz.

Bonus Stakeholder Workshop – 10th August
Contribute to developing a quantitative adaptive-pathways framework for managing wilding pines.
Hold this space! The Vive la Resistance MBIE research programme has recently been informed of a 1 year extension to funding, with a focus on implementation of findings. The new work will include developing a quantitative adaptive-pathways interactive framework, that combines population dynamics models, different management scenarios, and different land-use outcomes to forecast and better manage wilding conifer management. On the afternoon of Monday, 10 August we will be holding an initial stakeholder workshop in Invercargill to help co-design this framework. Your input would help ensure that the model best responds to stakeholder needs.
Details of the workshop will be shared soon. If you are interested in learning more, attending and/or contributing, please register your interest here to receive more information.
Info for Speakers
Speakers must submit PowerPoint presentations by 3rd August to a Dropbox link which will be emailed to you. If you can’t make this work let Jo know jo@wildingpinenetwork.org.nz. Please get these to us well before the conference as it’s stressful getting talks at the last minute.
Info for Sponsors
An excellent opportunity to sponsor this conference and profile your organisation to a diverse group of stakeholders.

Field Trip Options
There are 2 excellent field trips to choose from:

Includes West Dome visit.
Field trip 2
Mid & West Dome
Take a short helicopter ride over Northern Southland. See and hear how after 20-years’ work by the Mid Dome Wilding Tree Charitable Trust and farmers, their victory against Contorta is being stolen by Douglas fir. Includes West Dome visit.
